Apple Cake
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1/4 melted shortening
1-1/2 chopped apple
1/4 cup walnuts
Bake 350 degrees
35 minutes
I doubled the recipe and used butter instead of shortening (who buys shortening?) and no nuts.
